Teacher Vocational Education is responsible for teaching vocational courses focusing on developing job-specific or industry-specific knowledge and skills. Develops and implements appropriate course work, activities, and assessments. Being a Teacher Vocational Education evaluates and monitors student's performance, and helps students identify and pursue personal goals. Assesses and documents students' progress. Additionally, Teacher Vocational Education typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a state-specific vocational teaching license. Typically requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically reports to a principal. The Teacher Vocational Education occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Wage band range $64,480 to $95,000 (10-month)
Starting salary is typically between $68,000 to $75,000 (10-month); however, it is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity. This is a new position with a target start date beginning of 2023 and the position may qualify for bilingual pay incentive.
Casa Pacifica is a fully certified with commendations by the State Department of Education, our NPS serves children/youth ages 8 through 18 placed in the Residential Treatment Program or Assessment, Stabilization, and Permanency Center as well as day students from surrounding communities. Casa Pacifica is expanding our non-public school educational services to Northern Santa Barbara County, with an exciting new opportunity to build out services in the Lompoc area.
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Education/Principal, the Special Education Teacher will instruct special education students individually and in small groups in accordance with Casa Pacifica’s policies and procedures; develop and implement IEP goals, assess students, and coordinate programs to increase independence and functioning in society, socially, vocationally, and academically.
