The Administrative Assistant demonstrates daily the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine’s values for respect, trust, integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to a one team-one goal culture. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support service to designated and respective Dean/Department Head/Director or equivalent level positions through assisting a department or group of professionals and requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. The Administrative Assistant reports to the designated Dean/Department Head/Director, this designee will complete annual/probationary evaluations. Through the coordination of the appropriate supervisor, all Administrative Assistants within Burrell College are required to support each other’s workload during periods of high demand and to address institutional priorities. The Administrative Assistants should be willing to cross-train others on processes, systems, and policies within their domain and ask for assistance when appropriate as a member of the collaborative team. Such cross-departmental or division support, when required, will also be communicated, and coordinated between each respective supervisor.
