Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of our students. This is a paid position, and we offer a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans
- Support students in their learning by providing guidance with project based activities.
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Provide support to students with disabilities, including those with developmental disabilities
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected
- Help with administrative tasks such as record keeping and organizing classroom materials
Experience:
- Previous experience working with kids in an educational setting is preferred
- Experience in childcare or working with children is desirable
- Strong classroom management skills are essential
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
