    Job Summary/Basic Function

    Serve as a teaching assistant for the Earth & Environmental Systems department.



    Specific Responsibilities
    Teach introductory courses in Earth and Environmental Systems.

    Work Schedule
    20 hours a week, work schedule will be determined by student availability and department needs.

    Undergraduate degree in Anthropology, Environmental Geoscience, Geography, Geology, Sustainability, or an associated field.

    Preferred Relevant Education and Experience
    Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree Required. Preferably in Anthropology, Environmental Geoscience, Geography, Geology, Sustainability, or a closely related multidisciplinary area.

    Job Duties

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Attend lab and seminar meetings and respond promptly to emails from the instructor or Head TA.
    • Hold office hours and/or monitor an online discussion forum.
    • Prepare labs, handouts, and instructional content.
    • Conduct labs or assist with faculty instructor
    • Mark assignments and tests.
    • Manage course grades.
    • Engage in activities for community service and development
