POSITION SUMMARYAs a Controls Technical Specialist I, you will work individually as well as in a team setting to provide controls system support for day-to-day manufacturing operations including troubleshooting electrical and controls-related issues. You will provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff. You will engage in control system software/electrical changes and upgrades as well as assist in capital project implementations. You will maintain electrical drawings and participate in continuing education.
- Learn and maintain a working knowledge of Corporate Control System Standards and Guidelines
- Understand the design, programming and troubleshooting of process instruments, PLCs and HMIs
- Possess working knowledge of the tools and test equipment used for testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production electrical equipment, instrumentation and controls
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Know and utilize safe work practices for all voltages up to 480VAC and 600VDC
Requirements - Associate's Degree in a technical discipline AND 1 years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI-systems
OR
- High School Diploma/ GED equivalent AND 3 years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI-systems
Other - Must be willing to work overtime
The approximate payrangefor this position is $61,000 to $83,000 annually. Please note that the payrangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
