Technical Illustrator creates illustrations for use in technical manuals, product specifications, maintenance documents, advertisements, and other media. Utilizes a variety of graphic files, photo images, and sketches to create detailed technical illustrations. Being a Technical Illustrator produces 3-D, cutaway, or exploded views of objects. Familiar and proficient with graphic illustration and CAD software tools. Additionally, Technical Illustrator typically requires an associate degree in art, design, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Illustrator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Develop exciting and fun ideas for using concept art hand drawings to give our websites and marketing a more fun and relatable feel while maintaining a professional brand.
Creating hand drawn branding character(s), fonts, logos, and graphics then converting to digital format for use on website and marketing materials
Creating graphics using Photoshop or Illustrator
Assist our Web Designers with webpage layouts
Creative brainstorming with the web team video team
Skills:
3 years of Graphic Designer/illustrator experience (This is not an entry level graphic designer position)
Demonstrated track record of success in creating graphics for web pages, social media, and marketing campaigns
Intermediate sense of website graphic design/aesthetics
Demonstrable Graphic Designer/illustrator skills with a strong portfolio
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design tools)
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
