Technical Illustrator creates illustrations for use in technical manuals, product specifications, maintenance documents, advertisements, and other media. Utilizes a variety of graphic files, photo images, and sketches to create detailed technical illustrations. Being a Technical Illustrator produces 3-D, cutaway, or exploded views of objects. Familiar and proficient with graphic illustration and CAD software tools. Additionally, Technical Illustrator typically requires an associate degree in art, design, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Illustrator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. We have a new career opportunity for a Technical Illustrator/Writer in our Marketing Communications Department.
The primary responsibility of this position is the research, development, production, and revision of Service, Parts, and Operators manuals for all product lines including Crane, Freeman Hay Balers, Long Reach Forklift Attachments, Winch, Wagner Log Stackers and Chip Dozers. Additional responsibilities may include working on Service and Parts Bulletins.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and unassisted.
