Utilizes a variety of graphic files, photo images, and sketches to create detailed technical illustrations. Being a Technical Illustrator produces 3-D, cutaway, or exploded views of objects. Familiar and proficient with graphic illustration and CAD software tools. Additionally, Technical Illustrator typically requires an associate degree in art, design, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Technical Illustrator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Oneida Technical Solutions (OTS) is seeking Technical Writers to be part of our Discovery Project team for a Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise IT project, the Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. These positions will be involved with site survey and discovery activities associated with the transition of multiple military bases from the legacy system to the new enterprise IT solution and ITSM platform.
This is a 3-4 months contract involving constant travel from one Air Force base to another for 2-3 weeks at a time, spanning a total of 4 bases.
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Secret Clearance and 5 years of experience with DOD Technical Writing.
