Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify the information. Additionally, Technical Librarian obtains translations of literature as needed. The Taylor Public Library is looking for a Technical Services Librarian. This position requires the following:
Required: Master’s degree in library science or library information science. Qualified applicants without an MLS degree may be hired with the stipulation that an MLS/MLIS degree from an American Library Association is obtained within two years of the beginning date for this position. Three years’ experience with copy and original cataloging and knowledge of current cataloging standards and practices desired. Experience with automated library systems and OCLC WorldCat required.
