Technical Librarian develops and maintains a collection of technical information and provides research and reference support to researchers, scientists, and engineers. Builds an extensive network of technical information resources and contacts from various sources like government agencies, universities, professional and industry associations to obtain the required information. Being a Technical Librarian communicates with researchers to develop and maintain a broad knowledge and understanding of the organization's relevant topics and effectively target technical publications as information sources. Creates abstracts, bibliographies, and metadata to classify the information. Additionally, Technical Librarian obtains translations of literature as needed. Supports and maintains the library's technology infrastructure and information retrieval tools. Typically requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a manager. This full time position will be based in the Vineland office location on Chestnut Avenue. The schedule includes Monday-Wednesday 11am-7:30pm, Thursday & Friday 8am-4:30pm, and rotating Saturdays with a shift time of 7:30am-4pm. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Candidates for this position must be a High School Graduate or a GED recipient; some college coursework preferred. CPR certification (hands-on instruction) required and must be obtained prior to start in this position. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, has well developed customer service skills and maintains patient privacy at all times. Candidates must maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work at all times and must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment, including computers. Previous radiology practice experience strongly preferred. Candidates should be flexible to work varying shift times and travel to other office locations if needed.
