Technical Producer - Web acts as a liaison for the creative web content team and the IT technical team. Develops the technical specifications for the website. Being a Technical Producer - Web plans and reviews the navigational user interface design. Plans and reviews site architecture for new website products and features. Additionally, Technical Producer - Web troubleshoots, tests and oversees the launch of new products. Coordinates among cross-functional groups to identify challenges and recommends and implements solutions. Knowledgeable about commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field (i.e., HTML, JAVA, Mac, UNIX and Windows platforms). May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Technical Producer - Web works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Information about the role
This position resides within the office of Museum Experience and Digital Media (MEDM). The Museum Experience and Digital Media office (MEDM) creates and maintains experiences in physical and digital spaces that encourage people to think about how and why the Holocaust happened and the lessons it holds for us today. The office applies an audience-centered approach, best practices in storytelling, and new technologies across platforms to create experiences for a variety of audiences. These include the general public, Museum visitors, students, educators, policy makers, and donors, among others.
