Technical Producer - Web acts as a liaison for the creative web content team and the IT technical team. Develops the technical specifications for the website. Being a Technical Producer - Web plans and reviews the navigational user interface design. Plans and reviews site architecture for new website products and features. Additionally, Technical Producer - Web troubleshoots, tests and oversees the launch of new products. Coordinates among cross-functional groups to identify challenges and recommends and implements solutions. Knowledgeable about commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field (i.e., HTML, JAVA, Mac, UNIX and Windows platforms). May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Technical Producer - Web works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Act as Technical Director/Producer for various OSU Sporting events. Produce content for various Orange Power Studio (OPS) productions including ESPN shows, live events, highlight videos, promos, web content, and special projects. Aid in facilitating outside requests for various media outlets. Work with individual sports to provide and create content to aid with their video needs, planning and executing video shoots. Assist in teaching and supervising student workers in all aspects of video production. Maintain working knowledge of control room equipment and best practices.
Work schedule includes nights, weekends and holidays coinciding with OSU Events and various deadlines. Must often work nights, weekends, and holidays to fulfill assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Television Production, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
Two years of experience in broadcast/control room setting for live events at the university or professional level.
Understanding of control room systems (Router, Switcher, Graphic Systems, servers, etc).
Familiarity with a wide range of broadcast equipment.
Demonstrated editing skills and experience using professional editing software.
Demonstrated experience using Adobe Suite. In particular Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Able to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Must possess the ability to manage a production crew, work with freelance personal, and work and teach production skills to student workers.
Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays coinciding with OSU Athletic events throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field with radio/television/film components.
