Technical Producer - Web acts as a liaison for the creative web content team and the IT technical team. Develops the technical specifications for the website. Being a Technical Producer - Web plans and reviews the navigational user interface design. Plans and reviews site architecture for new website products and features. Additionally, Technical Producer - Web troubleshoots, tests and oversees the launch of new products. Coordinates among cross-functional groups to identify challenges and recommends and implements solutions. Knowledgeable about commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field (i.e., HTML, JAVA, Mac, UNIX and Windows platforms). May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Technical Producer - Web works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Technical Writer, EngineeringGeneral Description:Collects and interprets technical data or information and coordinates layout for publication. Creates and publishes technical documentations including change requests (ECRs, ECPs & RFV). Responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references, manuals, data sheets, or instructions. Works on projects/matters of complexity in a support role. Works under supervision of Senior Technical Writer.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary tasking will be the development of the technical documents to support technical drawing package change requests. Writing change requests (ECRs, ECPs, RFVs, etc.) with support from the engineering and configuration management team.
- Communicate and manage change requests through the internal review and external customer review process.
- Ensure changes being requested meet the production and customer requirements from design through sustainment.
- Support engineering team by clearly communicating change requests to both technical and non-technical audience.
Essential Skills/Experience:- Microsoft Office and Visio experience
- Draw sketches to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence.
- Editing PDF documents
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Some technical background with general knowledge of electronic and / or computer information systems.
- On-line research skills, effective use of search engines
Work Experience Requirements:Requires 2-4 years of experience developing DoD documentation or equivalent work.Beneficial Skills/Experience:- Familiarity with ASME drawing standard.
- SolidWorks experience a plus
