Being a Technical Recruiter contacts candidates to ascertain fit, and schedules interviews. Extends offers and negotiates compensation. Additionally, Technical Recruiter initiates onboarding plan for new hires. Ensures assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Technical Recruiter occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Technical Recruiter and Advisor is primarily responsible for working closely with GCCC Technical programs and recruitment of technical program students and academic advisement to technical program students. This position will work closely with the technical faculty on recruitment and retention of technical program students. This position will also work in coordination with the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and the institution to insure students' progress towards certificate or degree.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience, A minimum of two years (three years preferred) documented experience as a professional academic advisor in higher education. Demonstrated experience in developmental advising (or equivalent experience) at an accredited institution.
Education, Bachelor’s degree.
Interpersonal Skills, A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence others.
Other Skills, Strong work ethic; excellent interpersonal skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and with a team; critical thinking skills; exceptional listening skills; able to manage multiple tasks at once; organized and detail oriented. Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of diverse constituents includes students, parents, faculty, and administration.
Proficiency with use of technology such as the Internet, Email, and MS Office Suite is essential.
