Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000

We are looking for a outside sales person with knowledge of manufacturing to join our team. Industries currently served: Heavy Equipment, Paper Manufacturing, Metal Extrusion, Packaging, Railroad, Plastics, and other mid size manufactures.
Location: Tyrone, GA, 30290 (Metro Atlanta)
Skills Required:
- CNC Machining process knowledge
- Laser Cutting/Fabrication process knowledge
- Create detailed quotes, materials, labor, services,etc.
- Strong communication skills

Job Description:
The Sales Machining & Fabrication position is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC machining and fabrication, as well as the ability to create quotes and communicate effectively with customers. Knowledge of material types and steel grades, manufacturing processes, and the ability to read blueprints is essential. Strong math skills are also required for this position.
The Sales Machining & Fabrication position will require customer site visits to assess their needs and provide solutions. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet sales goals and objectives. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers is critical to the success of this position.

Commission Plan: Position comes with a base salary/commission plan based on maintaining existing business and business growth.
Functional Role: The Sales Machining & Fabrication person will be responsible for networking, lead generation, onsite customer visits, and creating detailed quotations for Machined & Fabricated parts and assemblies. The customer focus will be on all manufacturing companies in Georgia, Alabama, Florida & Tennessee.
Reports to: Director of Sales
Percentage Time Breakdown & Major Accountabilities
This individual’s functional percentage breakdown/focus will be as follows:
- 70% Customer facing activities
- 20% follow-up work with customers
- 10% Communication internally
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement sales plan for the region that dovetails into long range sales and marketing strategies for the business. This work will include establishing appropriate expectations and performance metrics for the region.
- Participate in company meetings to discuss, fine-tune, and help create strategic plans.
- Effectively manage accounts and customer relationships, leveraging company resources to accomplish stated goals.
- Develop and enhance relationships with key customer personnel.
- Monitor competitors’ products, practices, and pricing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and future industry trends.
- Participate in industry trade association activities.
- Effectively communicate and report internally to ensure proper customer service and efforts are in sync with sales leadership

- Maintain a safe work record both while at the customer and during your travels
- Excellent in communication and follow-up. This person, in effect, will be running their own business. This is an individual contributing role within a team context. It is essential that one have well developed self and leadership skills/habits and be well disciplined.
- Driven and” work smart”. The qualified individual will understand the importance of prioritization, be a self-starter and operate with an appropriate sense of urgency. One must enjoy being close to the business and willing to “roll up their sleeves” to engage at the customer site.

- Interpersonal skills. To be successful this individual must be driven and self-motivated. The ability to establish and build effective relationships with those above, below, and with peers is essential. This individual must be a good compliment to and effective extension of the current sales team.
