The Technical Sales Specialist for integration team is on the front line and is primarily tasked with finding new customers and uncovering our next project. A TSS is the face of our integration group and is a consultant that our customers rely on to help identify their manufacturing challenges and provide a solution through automation. The TSS works with the integration engineers and proposal teams to deliver a solution that meets the customers needs. They will proactively promote the capabilities of the Automation Integration Team and communicate the value delivered by the automation, robotic, measurement, and inspection solutions provided. This position is all about hunting the next customer or project and delivering tangible value to customers.

Essential Functions

Integrate Technical Sales Specialist role into Cross team selling approach partnering with Application Engineers, CSRs, and Business Development.
Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time in order to maintain relationships with existing customers, make on-site visits to thoroughly understand application requirements, and to close sales.
Additional Responsibilities
Communicate all significant customer and supplier issues to the Sales Manager.
Maintain and update accurate contact information, sales activities, and opportunities in Netsuite.
Maintain quote activity in CRM and Google Drive. Proficiency in this system is strategic to both Company strategy for customer growth and customer data analysis.
Have strong knowledge of our competition. Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of competitive distributors and their products represented in common customer geography.
Complete any other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager. This may include customer related tasks, projects management, or miscellaneous tasks as directed.

Minimum of 3 years successfully selling turnkey, integrated solutions into discrete manufacturing customers..
BS degree with strong technical content required.
Minimum of 5 years overall technical sales experience
Knowledge Required
Good mechanical aptitude.
Business acumen to advance organizational goals, based on relevant discrete manufacturing market and trends.
Excellent problem solving skills. Decisively identify action plans required for customer issues.
Outstanding product expertise in automated manufacturing/robotics and/or measurement and inspection for each Automation Group technologies or measurement and inspection, along with the automation of manual processes associated with these applications.
Superior knowledge and practice of consultative selling skills.
Strong PC skills using MS Word, Excel PowerPoint, Google business tools
