As Stemilt’s Export Sales Support Specialist you are charged supporting the Export sales staff with responsibility for the Latin American markets. This position assists with all aspects of the sales process, including customer communication, order entry, product coordination, and transportation and logistics coordination. This position is required to deliver extraordinary customer service, in addition to managing multiple requests with varying priorities, working through complex retail business requirements/needs, and communicating issues with the Export Sales team, customers, and any other stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner. Extraordinary interpersonal communication skills a must.  

Additional Responsibilities 

• Accurate order entry and follow through of all orders through the entire fulfillment process. 
• Arrangement of transportation coordinating with Stemilt Shipping facilities. 
• Preparation of customer correspondence, and daily interaction with customers, and vendors. 
• Maintenance of customer records & filing. 
• Preparation of weekly reports for Export Sales Manager and General Sales Manager 
• Professionally handle inbound calls for Export Sales team. 
• Serve as reliable back-up for Sales Representatives when they are unavailable.  
• Offer comprehensive sales support, including troubleshooting any customer issues, invoice tracking, and payment/collections follow up. 
• Provide requested information to various departments in a timely and efficient manner as needed. 
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. 

Reports to:  Export Sales Manager

What you bring to our World Famous! Table:  

Experience (Preferred but not required): 

• Experience in sales, marketing, or related field 
• Knowledge of financial reporting software (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SAP SAC, or other) and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills) 
• Knowledge of fruit packing and scheduling processes 
• Knowledge of Warehouse Shipping guidelines and processes 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s or associate degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or related field or equivalent education and/or related experience.    

• Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred. 
• Ability to travel internationally. (Valid Passport) 
• Professional manner, appearance, and demonstrated social skills 
• Highly organized with ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
• Knowledge of or ability to learn fruit grades, varieties, packs, sizes, customer packages, and quality requirements  
• Proficient with computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and easily trained on other applications. 
• Ability to have flexible schedule including some weekends when needed. 
• Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, analysis and time management skills 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation skills
