JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to calls, emails, and monitors the Service Desk. Runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem(s), determines, and implements solution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, and cabling.

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

Resolve technical problems with Network as needed.

Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.

Respond to queries either in person, over the phone or via email.

Train computer end users.

Respond to incidents from the Service Desk and email messages for end users seeking help.

Walk end user through problem-solving process.
-
Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.

Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include:

A demonstrated knowledge of PC and MAC OS

Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.

Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

Conduct research into issues and products as required.

Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-growing environment.

Able to present ideas in a user-friendly language in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

High school diploma required. Professional Certifications (Comptia/Microsoft) preferable but not required. A combination of experience, certifications, and education will be considered.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in an operational office environment to include on-call.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: Sitting for extended periods of time; use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, sorter, power tools, and to handle other computer components; occasional climbing or bending to inspect cables in floors and ceilings; lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
