    This is an individual contributor role managing a quality process vs. managing people. Reporting to the General Manager and the Director of Quality, you are an essential member of the management team and assist the General Managers in the overall quality performance. This includes management of the quality management system (QMS), improving First Time Right, maintaining and developing relationships with customers, improving processes, managing certifications & audits, and developing performance indicators to track the effectiveness of the quality management system and to trend non-conformance. In this role, you will have interaction with clients, Accreditation Bodies and customers, and will be responsible for advising operational colleagues of the importance of quality, accuracy and integrity in the provision of the testing services we provide. You will be fluent in English at minimum.


    You will be involved in leading quality at a local level and will work closely with the Director of Quality to ensure that the Organization's quality policies, processes and procedures are effectively implemented and aligned with the Organizational Goals and Objectives.



    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


    Maintain, update, and effectively enhance site QMS policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, etc. including daily/weekly/monthly QMS management and provide coaching and mentorship to colleagues to ensure effective implementation across the site.

    Establish and maintain the required processes to identify and document operations.

    Develop and implement procedures and other documentation to support operations.

    Establish quality performance indicators and track / report on quality performance and metrics.

    Establish, implement, and maintain the internal audit system and perform internal audits.

    Establish, implement, and maintain the supplier quality performance program, and perform supplier audits.

    Coordinate and participate in customer and accreditation external audits.

    Manage and improve the Non-conformances (NODs) review and control processes.

    Maintain all necessary requirements of the ISO 17025 certification.

    Generate, address, and effectively resolve Corrective Actions to address audit findings and NCR trends. Must be experienced in developing, coordinating, and executing corrective / preventative action and process improvement activities.

    Ensure the continued fulfillment of customer expectations through effective implementation of the QMS, e.g. through robust contract review, quality performance reporting and through proactive communication with customers and approval bodies

    Establish, manage, and maintain an effectively robust training program for new personnel during on boarding and existing colleagues at scheduled intervals.

    Actively coach, mentor and collaborate cross functionally with site colleagues and with the wider quality community to promote quality maturity and performance to achieve business objectives.

    Prioritize multiple activities to meet the needs of the business, colleagues, and our customers.

    Drive a culture of quality assurance and quality improvement, working closely with your operational colleagues and the wider quality community.

    Manage site continuous improvement and risk mitigation initiatives via Kaizen events, PFMEA, Six Sigma and Lean tools.

    Work with the business unit and corporate quality team to drive the overall quality of the organization.

    Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

    Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.



    REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


    Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a drug and background check

    3 - 6 years of quality management experience preferably in the testing industry, aerospace or defense industry, or in a manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience supporting Navy programs is highly desired.

    ISO (9001 or 9100) experience and working with a QMS

    Excellent PC skills (proficient in Microsoft Office), especially Word, Excel (data analysis, Pareto, charts, etc.), and PowerPoint

    Excellent Communication and Presentation skills (written, verbal and non- verbal), ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

    Demonstrated proficiency in Root Cause and Corrective Action analysis and auditing methodology.

    Able to multi-task in a demanding environment and to work independently with little guidance.

    Possess Business Acumen (linkage of quality impact to financials).

    Possess practical understanding of manufacturing processes to analyze problems, communicate effectively and facilitate problem solving activities objectively and independently.

    Possess operational knowledge and experience relating to inspection and customer interaction.

    Ability to apply problem solving methodology to positively impact business objectives.

    Ability to work with external and internal customers.

    Ability to read and react to verbal and non-verbal communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

    Must work well in a team environment and commit to continuous improvement.



    DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:


    Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering, or scientific discipline from an accredited institution
