The Senior Workday Developer is a technical position responsible for the integration, support, security, documentation, and administration of our client's Workday platform. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who specializes in Workday security and configurations, has a deep understanding of HR and financial data workflows, and can ensure the integrity, consistency, and scalability of the Workday system.

What You'll Do:

• Serve as a primary IT subject matter expert in Workday integrations, security, platform and release management.


• Conduct regular system audits and perform scheduled activities for both HCM and FIN applications, including updates, integrations, and enhancements to support business operations.


• Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and demonstrate a consistent level of accuracy with problem resolution.


• Lead the research, design, development, testing and delivery of new Workday integrations.


• Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment lifecycle.


• Work closely with technical teams, project teams, and business units to design, deliver, and support solutions that meet business requirements.


• Provide both leadership and technical skills to communicate technical terms and direction effectively and efficiently in a way that's easily understood by both IT staff and business customers.


• Lead or assist in the testing of Workday configuration during the biannual release schedule performing testing and data.


• Lead and participate in disaster recovery planning, tests, and recovery events.


• Ability to work flexible schedules, offer on-call support, and participate in occasional after-hours projects and upgrades.


• Adhere to service and change management policies and procedures.

What We're Looking for:

• Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


• Strong technical acumen with Workday's suite of technologies, including Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Cloud Connect, and calculated fields.


• Completed one full implementation of Workday, with demonstrated Workday technical and integrations experience.


• Minimum of 3 years of Workday experience.


• Functional expertise of XML, XSLT, Web Services, and other Workday-related programming languages or tools.


• Able to apply knowledge of various databases, operating systems, middleware, business applications, and web servers, including but not limited to:

• Workday Studio


• Cloud and Core Connector configuration ex: CCB CCW CCP PECI


• EIB's and Document Transformation XTT XVT


• REST and SOAP based services and testing tools ex. Postman SoapUI


• Familiar with common business file formats like EDI and X12 834


• Workday authentication patterns including OAuth, SSO, SFTP, SSH key based auth


• XSLT 2.0 / 3.0 streaming


• Report Writer, RaaS, Calc Fields


• BIRT and Prism (Preferred but not required)
