As a Technical Trainer, Tesla Energy Operations (Residential) you will be responsible for advancing the industry workforce to adopt leading technology in Energy storage, vehicle charging, and solar generation.

This person will lead the direction of education initiatives, delivering necessary improvements and new programs, that directly impact industry professionals. Success means providing outcomes that result in superior customer onboarding with Powerwall, Solar Roof, Solar Panels, and Electric Vehicle (EV) Wall Connectors.

Ideal candidates are eager to face difficult challenges, proactively seek out peer feedback, and willing to make programmatic decisions rooted in results.

• Train and certify others on critical subject matter across supported product lines and curriculum using various teaching methods and environments, including but not limited to: facilitating classroom presentations, hands-on activities, leading virtual training sessions, demonstrating skills as prescribed, product demonstrations, and providing on-the-job coaching
• Maintain superior workstations by incorporating 5S theory to prioritize strong organization, preparation, and adherence to processes/systems at all job level tasks
• Pursue technical knowledge and information to gain a deep understanding of Tesla products by engaging in regular communication with trainers, engineers, technical writers, and field technicians. Document efforts frequently, learn from results and apply changes
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements in safety, efficiency, and quality of for all supported teams by pursuing projects that drive positive changes that increase the standard in all areas
• Be a respectable and professional representative for Energy Training in all scenarios and environments by providing support to all learners, special guests, visitors, etc.

• This position requires going to the office in our Rancho Cucamonga, CA location
• Knowledge of Tesla Energy residential products; understanding basic theory of operations and installation best practices
• Eagerness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where objectives and responsibilities may need to quickly adapt to evolving industry needs
• High proficiency in MS Office Suite and related tools for communicating information efficiently
• Perform ongoing upskilling by completing all certification programs and regularly completing field work
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required with the proven ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training in non-technical language
• Up to 30% travel, with occasional international travel
