The Vehicle Image & Intelligence team consists of prior law enforcement professionals whose combined experience consists of over 140 years. The group's experience is quite diverse with almost every aspect of the Law Enforcement profession being represented. The group is directly responsible for training and the continued development of not only new but existing users of the company's technologies. In addition to managing the structured training program the group serves as subject matter experts in the fields of License Plate Recognition, Image Comparison, Crime/Intelligence Analysis and other associated areas. The group has broad experience with Law Enforcement investigations and quite often support Law Enforcement Agencies with investigative assistance during major cases. The group's mission is to support law enforcement through training, support or any available resources.

Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Trainer include but are not limited to:

• This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of the Vehicle Image & Intelligence team, situated within the Mobile Video Department. This is a virtual location position (work from home), but the position will be assigned a geographical area within the continental United States for which they will be responsible for.

• This position will be required to interact with Law Enforcement employees by proactively scheduling onsite and webinar training. In addition to providing training, this position may be called upon to provide subject matter expertise prior to, during, or after deployment of technology (systems or software).

• This position may be required to testify in both local or federal court where they would provide expert testimony.

• The focus of this position is supporting law enforcement with their efforts while proactively increasing the usage of our databases through training.

This role requires 50-75% travel throughout the United States.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred)

• 4 years of Law Enforcement experience (See specifics below)

• Familiarity with industry best practices and standards on the criminal and investigative process

• Ability to translate complex problems and concepts in training

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background checkadministered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Required Experience:

• Law Enforcement Experience Sworn or Non-Sworn

• Sworn Definition: Any armed law enforcement position held for a period of 5 or more years where the position granted the individual full peace officer status. Entry level examples of these positions would include but are not limited to: Patrol Officer, Detective/Investigator/Agent, Deputy Sheriff or other similar assignments. Law Enforcement experience shall include the basic functions of a entry level field officer regarding search and seizure, laws of arrest, case law, general law enforcement practices, preparing evidence, utilizing investigatory databases, testifying in court and other related.

• Non-Sworn Definition: Any unarmed law enforcement position held for a period of 2 or more years where the position worked in an active role of supporting law enforcement efforts. Examples of these efforts include but are not limited to: Crime/Intelligence Analysis, case preparation/investigation/assistance, real time crime/tactical intelligence operations, communications or other related fields.

Desired Experience:

• While not required, exposure or experience in CompStat or other crime reduction strategy programs is desired. Investigative experience is preferred but is not a requirement.

• Experience with Image Comparison Database/technology (experience with Motorola Solutions ComparisonManager is a plus)

• Experience with License Plate Recognition Database/Technology (experience with Motorola Solutions VehicleManager [formerly Vigilant] is a plus)

• Prior teaching or instructor experience

• Passport or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment

• Law Enforcement Instructor Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months

• Working Knowledge of business programs such as Google Slides, Sheets, Gmail and other G-Suite related tools. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other related products.

• Experience handling, processing, and/or testifying

• Experience with criminal incident geospatial and pattern analysis software programs.
