    Sr. Workspace Support Technician

    Contract Position

    $26.05/Hour 

    This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of duties in support of end-point computing devices, and peripherals
    • Respond to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, network and telecommunications systems
    • Maintain and update records and tracking databases
    • Install hardware and peripheral components, such as computers, network/telecom, monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
    • Load and verify correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, word processing and spreadsheet programs
    • Provide technical assistance to users
    • Responsyible for configuring desktop and laptop, and thin client computers
    • May be responsible for the limited day-to-day support of Infrastructure services that include servers and storage
    • May be responsible to monitor Infrastructure performance using monitoring tools
    • Assist in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems
    • May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation
    • Maintain an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies
    • Troubleshoot, maintain, and monitor, external and internal hard drives, printers, plotters and scanners
    • Perform a variety of duties in support of end-point computing devices and peripherals
    • Respond to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, network and telecommunications systems
    • Maintain and update records and tracking databases
    • Install hardware and peripheral components, such as computers, network/telecom, monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives

    • Provide training and technical assistance to users
    • Responsible for configuring desktop and laptop, and thin client computers
    • Possess necessary computer skills to proficiently handle routine tasks

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree is required or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
