Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description Summary
    This position is responsible for the delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning, and the on-going development of curriculum and learning strategies which meet the needs of students and employers.

    Job Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Facilitation of Learning. Plan, prepare and deliver instruction and facilitate the learning of students in contract training, associate degree, technical diploma, basic education, continuing education, and/or programs. Assess the learning outcomes of students at the unit, course, and program level.
    • Curriculum Development. Develop, revise, and continually update curriculum and instructional materials which are competency-based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with the college policy on level of required documentation.
    • Classroom Management. Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
    • Interpersonal/Team Skills. Participate in activities of the instructional team, including planning, development, scheduling, and budgeting as a cooperative and professional team player.
    • Business/Industry/Community Linkages. Develop and deliver customized training for various clients as needed, and maintain involvement with business/industry/community through advisory committees, marketing and recruitment efforts, and professional associations and organizations.
    • Student Support and Guidance. Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals.
    • Professional Development. Participate in professional development activities which provide for continually updated knowledge and skills for the role of the contemporary instructor in compliance with ASE Education Foundation Standards, FQAS requirements, and as directed by one's Individual Performance Plan.

    QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree in related and appropriate field, AND
    • Minimum of four years of occupational experience in the field of collision repair and estimating with experience in industrial paint refinishing and heavy-duty truck repair of which at least one year shall be within the last five years, OR
    • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable knowledge may be acquired.
    • Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification required.
    • I-CAR training certification or manufacturer's training required.
    • ASE certification required within one year of hire.
    • State and Federal Air Conditioning Certification required within one year of hire.
    • Finish matching training (PPG, Dupont, etc.) preferred.
    • Automotive and heavy-duty truck alignment experience preferred.
    • Teaching or training experience is desirable.
    • Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including development of relevant curriculum.
    • Upon hire, must maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required by other agencies to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.

    Additional Information
    Pay: $73,600.00 - $110,884.00 per year.
    Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data.

    Based on experience and expertise, an individual with an Associate Degree or equivalent and willingness to obtain a Bachelor's Degree within specific timeframe may be considered.
