Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    • Preparation of state and federal (Title V) permit applications and other miscellaneous permitting action applications
    • Preparation of Greenhouse Gas Reports, Emission Inventory Reports, Toxic Release Inventory Reports, and other miscellaneous compliance reports
    • Development of miscellaneous air emission calculations
    • Assistance in conducting regulatory applicability analyses of federal and state regulations
    • Potentially provide on-site assistance to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
    • Development of proposals and miscellaneous project reports
    • Provide leadership to project teams to ensure timely, exceptional project deliverables
    • Provide effective project management to ensure efficient task performance and timely delivery of work products
    • Provide technical leadership on complex regulatory issues
    • Employ strategic approaches for identifying target clients and winning work
    • Leverage and develop relationships to build long-term business partnerships in key industry sectors
    • Maintain effective relationships with regulatory personnel in multiple jurisdictions
    • Participate in key stakeholder forums and industry groups
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director and their clients

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, and/or Environmental/Civil Engineering) from ABET Accredited, four-year college or university or foreign equivalent
    • Must have computer literacy, including basic programming
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word) or related software
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
    • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
