Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Technical Training Manager for Service Technician

  • As the Technical Training Manager for Service Technicians at Helios Service Partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the technical skills of our service technicians. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze training needs, support Service Technicians in the field with technical guidance, and implement training programs to ensure that our team is equipped with the knowledge and expertise to excel in their roles.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and online, to educate our service technicians on the latest HVAC/R technologies, equipment, and maintenance techniques. This includes creating engaging training materials, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
    • You will analyze training needs, identify knowledge gaps, and design programs to address those gaps effectively.
    • Technical support: As the go-to expert, you will provide technical guidance and support to our service technicians, troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues, and assist with problem-solving. You will serve as a resource for ongoing technical questions and challenges that arise.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends: It will be your responsibility to stay current with the latest trends, regulations, and advancements in the HVAC/R field. This includes researching new technologies, attending industry conferences, and collaborating with external partners to ensure our training programs are cutting-edge.
    • Performance evaluation and feedback: You will assess the effectiveness of our training programs through evaluations and feedback mechanisms. You will work closely with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the overall performance and skill level of our service technicians.
    • Travel 20% of time.

    Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $100,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Helios  compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
