Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Position:

    The General Manager will develop and implement strategies for growth and stability. Responsible for all aspects of business performance, ensuring the successful implementation of operational processes and procedures and for guiding business development processes and opportunities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • P/L responsibility
    • Implement best practices for continuous process improvement
    • Train, supervise and direct Department Managers, Program Managers, and Engineers
    • Recommend new complimentary/supplementary business opportunities to senior executives
    • Develop and execute implementation plan for the new opportunities
    • Direct and collaborate with sales staff to foster year-to-year revenue growth
    • Act as senior customer advocate, ensuring that all complaints are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
    • Demonstrate leadership, set the standard for integrity, ethics and job performance
    • Implement and exemplify the corporate vision and culture at every level of the organization
    • Communicate to the employees facility goals and objectives
    • Provide direction, motivation and training, necessary to assure employees are consistently offering outstanding levels of service to its customers and maintaining all standards necessary to being recognized for superior customer satisfaction
    • Create and maintain a work environment that promotes teamwork and cooperation where employees can prosper, find rewards in their efforts and be continuously challenged to improve the performance of the division
    • Implement operational excellence, lean processes, corporate policies and procedures relative to Facility operation to ensure regulatory compliance and to optimize efficiencies
    • Manage staffing levels and ensures proper skill sets to achieve corporate goals with approval authority on all new hires, reviews, increases and terminations for employees
    • Manage facility equipment resources to assure adequate and reliable capacity is available to achieve corporate goals
    • Define market and operational strategies and implement tactics to achieve plans
    • Ongoing financial management of all jobs and facility costs to drive margin performance
    • Lead and develop the team into future leaders to support succession planning programs
    • Ensure maximum utilization of Human Resources and Service Line Capabilities
    • Prepare and implements Operational and Capital Plans
    • Support and implement the Corporate Strategy Map and Balanced Scorecard Strategy

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Technical or Management degree
    • Must have P&L Management and business management, and people management.
    • 5-10 years of Operations or General Management experience preferably in a production/manufacturing environment in aerospace or defense but we will consider other industries.

    Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
