Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Technical Training Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations of an assigned department to ensure production schedules are met within required quality standards.


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Hires and trains front-line staff in assigned department.
    • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Collaborates with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments.
    • Coordinate and work closely with other departments to assure the attainment of production schedules, quality goals and safety objectives are met within deadlines given.
    • Assign personnel to projects based on workload and capabilities.
    • Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data.
    • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
    • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
    • Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Collaborates with other departmental managers to develop and execute budgets.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Experience/Education:

    • Associates degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required; Bachelors degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
    • At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the production floor.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
    • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
