Technical Training Manager leads the design and delivery of technical training programs. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. Being a Technical Training Manager manages the development of training programs and materials including outlines, text, handouts, hands on exercises, and training evaluations. Establishes processes to monitor results and collect feedback on training instructors to determine effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Technical Training Manager assesses and manages any contractors utilized to deliver specialized training. May manage IT, product, or equipment training depending on the industry and setting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to an director. The Technical Training Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Leads the Supply Chain Management enterprise. Assures material needs of the company are met in a timely fashion and costs are controlled. Partners with CTS leadership team to continually improve effectiveness and efficiency of the SCM enterprise to meet the material needs of our organization and customers faster, with continually improving quality and lower cost.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following

    • Manages the flow of goods, resources and information required by the supply chain to ensure the critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.
    • Implements a strategy to ensure that the critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs.
    • Leads coordination activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain.
    • Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in supply chain.
    • Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance.
    • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
    • Ensures that project/department, milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
    • Interfaces with program management, planning, and maintenance to plan and deliver all material needs on time and budget.
    • Maintains an effective purchasing capability.
    • Deploys best practices for quoting and negotiation strategies based on commodities and services.
    • Develop and promote pro-active best practices.
    • Follows priorities driven from sales and operational planning.
    • Initiates inventory strategies for common parts.
    • Assures material compliance with applicable government standards to include FAA requirements.
    • Assures effective situational awareness within and external to the organization to include CTS leadership and all stakeholders.
    • Maintains an effective warehouse management system; optimizes inventory to assure responsiveness at minimal cost to CTS or its customers.
    • Maintains an efficient and responsive logistics system that provides effective movement of material within and external to the facility.
    • Maintains a strong parts and tool control program to include prevention of counterfeit parts entering CTS supply chain.
    • Works directly with reporting manager for operational activities and set strategic goals.
    • Evaluate efficiencies of business procedures regularly according to organization objectives and apply changes/improvements, as necessary.
    • Manage relationships and agreements with internal/external partners/vendors.
    • Hire, supervise and mentor all staff.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

    • Education - A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: aerospace, engineering, business management is preferred.
    • License/Certifications A Certificate in Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Planning & Inventory (CPIM), Logistics, Transformation, and Distribution (CLTD) a plus.
    • Supply Chain Management 5-7 years’ experience.
    • Industry Related Experience -3-5 years’ experience in aviation, aerospace, or government
    • Safety Management Proactively promote a safety-first culture by ensuring you and your team understand and comply with the proper use of equipment and all relevant safety rules and regulations.
    • Supervisory Experience - Requires 3-5 plus years supervisory experience in an MRO environment and airline or OEM experience is a plus.
    • Budgeting/Scheduling Experience Must have at least 5-years of budgeting and scheduling experience and the ability to create execution strategies accordingly.
    • Leadership Experience Must have 3-5 years’ experience in leading large teams and will be required to demonstrate ability to guide, motivate, and address personal action plans with employees within their organization.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Knowledgeable of supply chain software applications, Corridor experience a plus
    • Proven experience in supply chain management

    • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines

    • Experience and understanding of Constraints Management is a plus.
