Overview

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a student intern to support our Easton Block and Supply Division at our plant in Easton, PA. The internship will last for 12-14 weeks from May to August or September 2024. The ideal candidate is hard-working, quick to pick up new skills and apply new information, and enthusiastic about technical writing and developing standard operating procedures (SOP). In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with multiple team members to write and edit various SOPs for the company to continue utilizing long after the internship has completed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Collaborate with Easton Block & Supply Team Members to identify and take notes on important tasks performed on equipment around the plant.
• Clearly and concisely write Standard Operating Procedures for each task identified on Besser Equipment, Egan Batching Software, and other equipment in the block plant.
• Seek approval from the supervisor on each Standard Operating Procedure written.
• Collect and file the completed Standard Operating Procedures in a centralized location for company usage.

• Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, organization, and responsibility
• Able to work during the upcoming summer of 2024
