Job Goals:
1. Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundation and private funding prospects to match District priorities
2. Generates high-quality proposals, narratives, applications and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of SDA, and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies;
3. Works with appropriate personnel to research, develop, write and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals;
4. Remains up-to-date on current issues relative to grant proposals;
5. Familiarity with and adherence to policies and procedures of SDA and other governmental agencies regarding grant management;
6. Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, supervisors or other employees;
7. Inform district staff on the progress/status of grants and issues that may arise with each grant;
8. Meet periodically with faculty/staff to discuss current and new funding opportunities;
9. Ability to follow and/or lead the District’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
A WI teaching license is preferred for the position along with experience as a teacher
Ability to work collegially with department staff, student services, administration, the faculty, maintenance staff, and community as needed.
Ability to access and analyze data
Ability to successfully write grants for a variety of agencies and purposes
