As a Service Writer with a focus on sales, you will be a critical link between our customers and our auto repair shop, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. In this role, you will interact with customers, assess their vehicle service needs, and recommend services while ensuring a positive customer experience. Your primary goal is to boost sales, achieve revenue targets, and contribute to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet and engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Conduct a thorough needs assessment to understand customer concerns and service requirements.
Explain recommended repair and maintenance services to customers clearly, addressing their questions and concerns.
Sales Focus:
Actively promote and upsell repair and maintenance services based on customer needs and vehicle conditions.
Present service options, providing cost estimates and detailed explanations to encourage customer authorization.
Achieve individual and team sales goals and targets.
Increase fleet business when appropriate or the opportunity arises.
Work Order Preparation:
Create accurate and detailed work orders for the service department based on customer approvals.
Communicate work orders to the service team, ensuring a smooth transition for the service process.
Customer Follow-Up:
Maintain communication with customers throughout the service process, providing updates and addressing any changes or concerns.
Follow up with customers after service completion to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, service recommendations, and sales transactions.
Prepare and deliver reports related to sales and customer service activities.
Service Advisor Collaboration:
Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Provide any necessary information and documentation to support service tasks.
Team Work
Clock in and out daily for all breaks and meal breaks.
Read, understand and comply with the Employee Handbook.
