JOB OBJECTIVE: Direct and coordinate activities of Technical Services Department, including, managing its personnel, maintaining systems and developing and managing a budget.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Direct and coordinate activities of Technical Services Department by performing the duties personally or through subordinates.
2. Perform strategic planning and analysis, determine needs and resolve problems.
3. Plan and develop policies and procedures for carrying out technical operations.
4. Ensure efficient operation of all audio and visual equipment.
5. Modify, maintain, design, plan and arrange sound, lighting, stage systems and audio-visual equipment.
6. Act as primary liaison with the Little Rock Stage Group, Inc.
7. Ensure proper use of technical equipment at all facilities.
8. Recommend equipment upgrades and replacements as needed.
9. Control of inventory of all technical equipment.
10. Supervise the set-up of technical equipment to ensure specified event requirements are met.
11. Develop departmental budget and monitor expenditures.
12. Identify and train employees as needed personally or through subordinates.
13. Effectively schedules full-time, part-time and/or temporary staff to meet the daily needs of the Technical Services Department and the LRCVB.
14. Participates in Management level problem solving and decision making processes.
15. Participates in meetings, events, and activities, externally and internally, as assigned.
16. Interacts in a positive and responsive manner with clients, attendees of events, seminar speakers, and the general public.
17. Operates a personal computer, internet, e-mail and various other software packages in the performance of essential functions.
18. Operates a LRCVB automobile in the performance of essential functions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, Fine Arts or a related area from a four-year college or university, and five (5) years of related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver’s License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Must show proof of valid automobile insurance before being approved to drive any LRCVB vehicle.
