ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greater Lawrence Technical School workforce development programs prepare adults for career pathways, living wage jobs with priority industry employers. Technical training is the focus of these programs; each also includes ancillary services, such as career exploration/development, coaching/mentoring, employability skills, and job/internship placement. The GLTS workforce development trainings are cyclical and new trainings are frequently developed and launched. Currently, we offer Career Technical Initiative funded construction-related training, Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium-funded Advanced Manufacturing-funded training, private pay electrical and plumbing apprenticeship training, Massachusetts Clean Energy Center-funded clean energy training and MA Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund supported Medical Assistant training. We also organize and implement wage reimbursement programs funded by MassSave and the MassCEC to launch new graduates into employment. We are seeking a Workforce Development Program Manager to oversee all aspects of our MassCEC and WCTF training over the next 3 years and lead Employer Engagement in our wage reimbursement programs. The PM will be responsible for additional programs as they are ready for implementation. The Program Manager will report to the GLTS Director of Grants and Workforce Development. Examples of responsibilities include: •Completing contracting with funder and subcontracting with partners •Assisting with technical training staff hiring and supervision •Managing subcontractors and partners •Budgeting and fiscal oversight •Reporting •Organizing and supervising training •Oversight of all aspects of the training programs, including recruiting, assessment, and enrollment; training program curriculum and delivery; ancillary services provided during training; job placement and retention services. •Employer engagement and ongoing relationship management including, for example, planning job shadows, employer visits, job fairs, organizing advisory committees, and wage reimbursement programming. •Responsible for reaching program goals and outcome metrics, and adapting program design if needed to reach goals. •Other responsibilities as assigned.
