DESCRIPTION
The Project Management Office in the Office of Physical Plant is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager. The primary function of this position is to provide excellent project oversight, task management, and organizational change management to various projects within the organization. The Project Manager works with many levels of leadership and staff to manage project efforts based on industry best practices; works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of project goals, deliverables and schedules, and must be an excellent communicator; various levels of documentation will be produced at each stage of the project and the project manager is often the person who creates these with input from others. They will demonstrate awareness of broad issues and management trends and potentially evaluate the impact of policy and procedure changes and adjust accordingly. We expect this person to assist in evaluating, throughout the project life cycle and once the end user processes are understood, to determine if we are maximizing our operational efficiencies.
Shall demonstrate a high level of negotiation in persuading and influencing a wide variety of people at various levels and locations to achieve results. Will develop and oversee the implementation of solutions to highly complex and often controversial problems that may have company-wide impact and establish new precedents for solving problems. The employee often works independently on highly complex and strategic assignments, yet integrated participation with several multi-disciplined teams is required.
