As a working Railyard Terminal Manager you will lead a complex Railyard Terminal operation with a focus on safety, administration, maintenance, train performance, productivity and working hands in all aspects of the railyard. Ability to provide strong leadership for employees, systems, and safety practices. A successful Terminal Manager possesses critical thinking, deadline driven, analytical, and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will oversee the intermodal terminal in Stockton, CA.

Responsibilities

Railyard Terminal Manager

• Leads Terminal to ensure KPIs are met, Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.
• This position is a "Working Manager" role that would require you to workout doors and stand for long periods at a time.
• Accountable for overall P&L responsibilities
• Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Terminal
• Builds collaborative partnerships between ConGlobal and local railroad officers
• Acts as key point of contact between ConGlobal and our customers
• Enforces and upholds all ConGlobal rules, regulations, and policies
• Approaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when required
• Monitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budget
• Approves weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate and timely
• Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Terminal is fully staffed
• Owns the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing success
• Provides Terminal Metrics & Reports as needed
• Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

Qualifications

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years Intermodal, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience
• 5 years leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills are mandatory
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products
• Strong Work Ethic
• Open availability required (Shifts, Weekends, & Holiday)
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
