Extensive knowledge of department processes.     About The Role

    The Technology Manager is a key internal advocate of our Shared Values of STEWARDSHIP and ELEVATE. Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, this role provides technical leadership driving the Credit Union's technology initiatives, architecture, and operations. In this role you will guide and direct the technology team, and oversee the development and implementation of scalable and secure technology solutions. As a collaborative leader, the Technology Manager will foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

    This position is on-premise and based at our headquarters office in Ventura, CA, but does offer the ability for a limited hybrid schedule. Managers at VCCU uphold our Shared Values and work onsite for the best benefit of our membership and community partners. You will manage and lead both on-premise and remote staff.


    What You’ll Do

    • Provide direct leadership and mentorship to the technology team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and working to develop a high-performing team with the skills necessary to support the Credit Union's technology goals.
    • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Credit Union's technology assets. Implement and maintain robust security controls, policies, and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and the adoption of new technologies that enhance member experience.
    • Lead Scrum teams in the planning and execution of high-quality software solutions. Facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, and ensure the team's adherence to Agile principles and practices.
    • Leverage knowledge of AWS cloud services to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure and applications. Drive the migration of on-premises systems to the cloud and ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
    • Design and implement APIs that enable seamless integration between systems, enhance agility and support the development of new member-facing applications and services.


    What We’re Seeking

    • 3-5 years of directly related experience overseeing one or more aspects of technology infrastructure services. Including experience leading teams responsible for Windows environments.
    • Knowledge of software languages that pertain to network and server operating systems.
    • Knowledge of ITIL-based processes (incident, change, problem, root cause analysis).
    • Experience with managing service solutions, including Amazon Web Services and/or Azure.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
