Description:
The Lehigh County Communications / 911 Center is accepting applications for Telecommunications Operators. This is a professional position taking 911 and other emergency calls for help from the public and dispatching those calls to the appropriate agencies. TESTING IS REQUIRED AND APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED AS TO THE DATE AND TIME OF TESTING.
Schedule:
NOT FLEXIBLE - Must be able to work weekends, day shift, middle shift, or night shift as assigned (NO EXCEPTIONS).
Experience:
Public Safety experience preferred, not required.
Education:
G.E.D. or High School Diploma
Comments:
Candidates with current 911 Certifications (CLEAN / NCIC), Medical Priority EMD, and PA State 911 Certification) may be given additional consideration when all other criteria are met. The selected candidate must meet the following criteria:
Pass computer test with score of 85% or higher.
