Road Traffic Controller
Road traffic controller’s direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in an organized way to ensure public safety at construction zones, accidents, public events, or other road disruptions. Using signs and other devices, they manage the movements of emergency response teams, construction workers and the public.
Work takes place at or around the utility construction traffic control zone, on streets and highways in urban, suburban, and rural areas.
Suitable for people who can work well under pressure, communicate effectively, and manage a complex physical environment.
Day-to-day duties:
We're looking for a Road Traffic Controller to help us maintain our project efficiency, safety & compliance. You will be responsible for performing a variety of traffic control, oversight, and utility construction labor tasks. We're looking for someone who is reliable and has experience with utility related traffic control, preferably someone certified by VDOT for Flagger, Basic or Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control Training.
Must have a valid Driver's License and be willing to travel. Must be able to pass background screen and drug test. CDL preferred.
