Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Role

    Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director with a "hunter" style approach to drive revenue growth and expand market share. The Sales Director will be responsible for aggressively pursuing new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing relationships with key accounts, and developing strategic sales initiatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets. NC,SC,GA,FL,TN,VA,AL,MS,LA,KY,TX
    • Prospect, cold-call, and actively engage potential clients to generate leads and establish new accounts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at prospective and existing accounts.
    • Collaborate with marketing, R&D and Operation teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and product launches.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for growth.
    • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to evaluate sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to senior management.
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
    • Represent Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
    • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics.
    Requirements:
    • 5 years Proven track record of success in sales, experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, exceed sales targets, and expand market share.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives.
    • Experience managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with a "hunter" mentality and a passion for sales.
    • Ability to travel as needed.

    Measured Metrics and Review ScheduleYour first review will be 90 days after your start date, then a six-month check-in and a development review annually in January for the duration of your employment. If the results of a review are unsatisfactory, more frequent reviews may be scheduled to monitor improvements. If assigned improvement goals are not reached, a warning schedule may be implemented including the possibility of termination. During each review, your performance and ability to achieve the following metrics will be evaluated. New Business Development:

    • Increase the number of new accounts within the designated target markets (NC, SC, GA, FL, TN, VA, AL, MS, LA, KY, TX) in the fiscal year.
    • Achieve a target of 25 new leads generated through prospecting and cold-calling efforts each month.

    Sales Performance:

    • Current Model: Achieve 1800 customers with an average of $2,200 in orders per year making up a minimum of 4 orders. (a mix of new and returning customers)
    • Ensure all 1800 customers order at an average of $550 per quarter
    • Create new sales strategy based on 2024 retailer audit
    • Meet Corporate Sales goals of $435k by end of Q424.
    • Monthly reporting and evaluation of sales goals and strategy

    Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives and target market segments.
    • Implement strategies to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities identified through market research.
    • Conduct a retailer audit to understand our customer and determine what our speciality retailer program looks like in 2025.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities within the CPG industry.
    • Utilize sales data and performance metrics to evaluate sales effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

    Sales Team Leadership:

    • Develop and implement individual performance goals for sales team members aligned with overall sales objectives.
    • Achieve a team quota attainment rate for each quarter.

    Brand Awareness and Networking:

    • Represent Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn at industry events, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads as needed.
    • Increase brand visibility in the designated territories through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

    Professional Development:

    • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.

    Salary

    2024: $85,000 Annual Base Bonus Potential: 1.65% of all sales in the house, faire, corporate categories (4.3) salary potential of $156,000.
