Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provides overall program supervision as assigned developmentally disability residential treatment program by interviewing with clients and presenting as a leader in a developing and implementing service plans and treatment plans.
    • Assesses the service needs of clients, makes treatment recommendations, and intervention suggestions to staff and intervention suggestions to other members of the support team and performs as the lead member of an inter-disciplinary team.

    Required Skills, Abilities & Education:

    • A thorough understanding of the developmentally disabled individuals, services, resources and tools.
    • The ability to assess clients (and families) from a strengths model perspective, along with the skills, knowledge and abilities to develop a theoretical perspective.
    • The ability to work with a variety of people.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • A BS/BA Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
    • One (1) to three (3) years of professional supervisory and management experience.
