    Position Summary: The Director at The Via Dolorosa is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing

    the seamless operation of the center, ensuring that it remains a sanctuary of solace and growth for its

    residents. The Director embodies leadership, wisdom, and compassion, steering the course towards

    hope and freedom for all who come to the The Via Dolorosa Ceneter.

    Qualifications:

     Positive history of community involvement

     Proven record of accomplishment of high-level administration capabilities

     The ability to lead teams of both staff and volunteers

     Experience in leading various teams of people in areas of service

     Excellent communication skills

     Verifiable record of ongoing education and training relating to addiction recovery

     Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred but not required.

    Responsibilities:

     Operational Oversight: Execute daily operations with precision, ensuring The Via

    Dolorosa functions at its highest potential, embodying the essence of its mission.

     Leadership Appointment: Discriminately select and appoint members of the Leadership

    and Resident Volunteer (LRV) team, fostering an environment of excellence and dedication.

     Delegation of Duties: Allocate responsibilities within the LRV, recognizing and

    capitalizing on individual strengths for collective progress.

     Resident Vetting: Uphold the final authority in selecting new residents, ensuring they

    align with the ethos and values of The Via Dolorosa.

     Orientation Phase 3: Conduct Phase 3 of the orientation process, providing an essential

    foundation for residents' transformative journey.

     Dismissal Authority: Exercise the ultimate decision-making power regarding the

    dismissal of residents, guided by the best interest of The Via Dolorosa's community.

     Disciplinary Measures: Address and manage major disciplinary matters, applying fair and

    judicious practices in resolution.

     Resident Counseling: Offer compassionate guidance and support through individual

    counseling sessions, fostering personal growth and resilience.

     Spiritual Support: Engage in moments of prayer and reflection with residents during

    times of need, providing spiritual solace and strength.

     Legal Advocacy: Stand by residents in court proceedings when their needs necessitate

    legal representation, ensuring their rights and well-being are safeguarded.

     Policy Implementation: Oversee the seamless integration of new procedures and

    policies, ensuring they align with the vision and values of The Via Dolorosa.

     Guidance Dissemination: Provide mentorship and direction to both the LRV team and

    residents, nurturing a culture of continuous growth and self-improvement.

     Supervision of Leaders: Oversee the development and performance of leaders, teachers,

    and volunteers, fostering a cohesive and thriving community.

     Database Management: Accurately input resident housing details into the database,

    maintaining a comprehensive record of the community.

     Bed Assignments: Thoughtfully allocate beds to residents, ensuring a balanced and

    harmonious living environment.

     Teaching Support: Step in to teach classes when required, contributing to the

    educational enrichment of the community.

     Resident Support: Address and fulfill resident requests promptly and considerately,

    ensuring their well-being is a top priority.

     Evaluation Distribution: Generate and distribute resident evaluations to advisors,

    offering valuable insights for individual progress.

     Transportation Management: Record all transportation details in the database,

    facilitating efficient logistics for residents.

     Fee Collection: Methodically collect weekly fees from residents, ensuring financial

    transparency and accountability.

     Funding Termination: Cease funding sources for individuals who have departed the

    program, updating the database accordingly.

     Evaluation Logging: Accurately input evaluations into the database, maintaining a

    comprehensive record of resident progress.

     Phase Transitions: Facilitate seamless phase transitions for residents, ensuring a smooth

    and progressive journey.

     Phase Roster Publication: Post updated phase rosters, reflecting the evolving dynamics

    of The Via Dolorosa community.

     Financial Record Keeping: Enter weekly laundry expenses into the financial section of

    the database, maintaining meticulous financial records.

     Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer medications to residents

    weekly, prioritizing their health and well-being.

     House Meetings: Convene and lead house meetings, fostering open communication and

    unity within the community.

     Work Eligibility Notification: Promptly communicate with relevant parties regarding

    individuals eligible for work opportunities, ensuring their seamless integration into the

    program.

     Fundraising: Takes an active role in fund raising efforts and donor acquisition.
