Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description:

    • Manages Route Driver training efforts in partnership with the Branch Mangers for newly hired and existing Route Drivers.
    • Manages Route Driver sales and account development efforts in partnership with the Branch Mangers.
    • Manages efforts required for safe and efficient delivery operations and a high level of customer satisfaction to support continued market growth.
    • Manages and supports recruiting and hiring across the Delivery Operations function.
    • Establishes a data-driven approach the Delivery Operations function, including development of strategically aligned Key Performance Indicators.
    • Oversees the daily Routing function to ensure daily routing tasks are timely completed and the routes to be run are efficient. Looks for opportunities to improve efficiency on a daily basis. Leads the effort to re-route the delivery system to improve delivery efficiency.
    • Ensures that Delivery Operations Department is in compliance with Federal, State, Local, Company Laws and Regulations.
    • Fully understands the Company’s operations and financials and manages the budget of the Delivery Operations Department and assists with the maintenance and preparation of the Company’s capital expenditure budget in coordination with the Fleet Department.
    • Responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels and ensuring that all products are properly stored and accounted for.
    • Reports to Vice President, Operations.

    Experience:*

    • A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
    • At least seven (7) years managing delivery/transportation operations within a data driven organization known for operational excellence.
    • Driving record within MVR policy guidelines. - No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving.
    • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, foster a team building environment, multi-task and deliver results that exceed expectations.
    • Knowledge of best practices in delivery operations, and ability to drive and implement change in a complex environment.
    • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and RoadNet/OmniTracs is preferred.
    • Strong leadership, influence skills, professionalism, ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Knowledge of industry safety and Department of Transportation requirements.

    This position offers a competitive base salary and excellent benefits including medical, dental, short and long term disability and matching 401k.

    Annual Pay: $80,000

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
