Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:Serve as a point of contact to assigned customers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Builds and maintains positive relationships and provides excellent customer service.• Responsible for providing manual order entry inquiries/concerns, order status including expediting, delivery schedules, and replacement needs; order holds and backorder reports.• Utilizes the CRM to document activities and account summary notes to ensure customer satisfaction.• Participate in customer calls to provide updates on orders and/or answer questions.• Performs other duties as requested by Supply Chain Supervisor or Manager.SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Adhere to, promote, and accept responsibility for compliance to Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, Industry Consensus Standards, and KGP Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual.• Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;
    • Prior work experience in related office and/or customer service experience

    or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to establish a strong rapport with customers.
    • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    • Ability to add and subtract 10-digit numbers, to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    • No major critical thinking required.  Work follows established job aids and business rules.  Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
