Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Overview

    The Unified Communications Technology Architect is responsible for designing and implementing core communication systems which will support the enterprise organization. Responsibilities include architecture, design, engineering, implementation and optimization of CMH's corporate voice, video, and collaboration services, Unified Communications, conferencing, and contact center solutions. This role also analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be effectively integrated with current and future applications and ensures that all systems are operating at optimal levels. This role offers support to the Information Systems department regarding new technologies and system requirements and has thorough knowledge of technical infrastructure and applications

    Responsibilities

    Architecture, Design and Implementation:

    • Lead the technical design, implementation, and optimization of CMH’s voice, video, contact center, and UC infrastructure/solutions.
    • Lead architectural and topology design, new technology evaluation and integration planning activities.
    • Ensure architecture and design provides reliability and redundancy for all services to include corporate voice, video, contact center and UC applications. 
    • Provide expert technical support on complex system integration issues as well as expert consulting related to CMH collaboration services to internal clients.

    Contact Center Design and Implementation:

    • Lead Call Center design and application implementation as well as provide expert consulting services and support for CMH call center environments.

    Operations, Administration, Maintenance Support:

    • Provide technical leadership in the design and development of network performance data collection, alarm and performance criteria and reporting capabilities
    • Provide technical leadership in the development of plans for establishing, augmenting, or optimization of collaboration solutions
    • Provide technical leadership in managing complex system and application issues. Manage cases with CMH partners through remediation and resolution
    • Lead release management activities for assigned infrastructure. Assess new software releases, assist with development of test plans, and develop implementation procedures and guidelines.
    • Participate in Incident, Change and Problem management functions when appropriate

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years' experience OR
    • High School diploma, or equivalent, or Associate's degree and 11 years' experience
    • The following Certifications are preferred: 
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate 
      • Cisco Certified Network Professional 
      • Cisco Certified Voice Professional 
      • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist 
      • Microsoft Certified IT Professional
    • The following experience is preferred:
      • Agile and the sprint planning process
      • Contact Center as a Service
      • Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
      • Webex Calling and the Webex portal

     

     

    Starting Pay

    Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $43.24/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

     

    Remote Work/Work from Home

    This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
