Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Summary: This position is responsible for promoting the Fairmount Homes vision and mission among constituents and developing a strong financial support base. This position also coordinates fund-raising for the facility. Due to the nature of the position, weekday working hours may vary and some weekend hours will be necessary. The Stewardship Director relates coordinatively with other personnel in the retirement community, particularly administration.

Employment Qualifications: Must have an interest in gerontology and working with older adults. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience is preferred. A knowledge and/or interest in planned giving is required. Computer proficiency is a plus. Must support the mission and values of Fairmount Homes. Must have a good understanding of the Mennonite church and an appreciation for the Weaverland Conference Old Order Mennonite church in specific, its program, its purpose and its people.
