Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Autonomous Systems Engineering is looking for a Walkout Specialist to support feasibility/data collection project in the Lexington, KY area. ASE takes great pride in offering Walkout/Engineering solutions that meet the growing telecommunications industry. We are seeking individuals who are self motivated and enjoy working outdoors.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Walkout Specialists travel from location to location measuring routes and monuments in the path of telecommunication lines. These specialists will input information in computer software and programs while averaging 2 miles a day in the Lexington, KY area.

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

    You are detail orientated and pay great attention to numbers/accuracy.

    You like to work outside.

    You have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

    You are a self starter and are self motivated.

    You are knowledgeable/competent in using maps, Ipads, tablets and can learn computer programs quickly.

    Telecommunications/Utility background preferred.
