Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Our team is working with a nationwide orthodontics organization seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.

    This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing company and industry leader. In this role you will be evaluating phone systems for migrations to standardized platforms, overseeing Unified Communications as a Service and Contact Center as a Service platforms, overseeing service and support to Voice over Internet Protocol, Private Branch Exchange, Session Initiation Protocol and Transmission Control Protocol systems and coordinates the assignment, configuration, and tracking of cell phones and other mobile devices.

    This will be a full-time opportunity with hybrid responsibilities in Dallas, TX. Desired Skills & Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology preferred
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting cloud-based telephony systems required
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products required
    • Intermediate understanding of Active Directory and networking required
    • Basic knowledge of Application Programming Interface preferred
    • Basic knowledge of Exchange or O365 preferred
    • Experience with Talk Desk call center software and VoIP technologies
