Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     REPORTS TO: ADMINISTRATOR



    JOB SUMMARY: Participates as a member of the facilities management team in planning and administrative decision making with particular reference to the role, functions and operations of the facilities nursing services within the framework of the objectives and policies established by Caraday Healthcare plans and coordinates nursing services. In summary, is responsible for patient care, management, resource management and fiscal management. 


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for managing, directing and supervising nursing services 
    •  Define and maintain the standards of nursing practice within the facility 
    •  Assess the quality of care rendered 
    •  Help with development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services and other services under his or her position control 
    • Help in verifying employee credentials under his or her position control 
    •  Responsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention and staff development 
    •  Responsible for collaborating with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient care and staff development 
    • Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a budgeted process for staffing and services rendered 
    • Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct the infection prevention and control program and its activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern such programs
    • Evaluate the quality and cost-effectiveness of staffing and services within the goals of the facility Serve as spokesperson for nursing matters and represents the facility with professional nursing and related organizations 
    •  Participate in appropriate meetings and committees 
    •  Promote positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests 
    • Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations 
    • Use appropriate workplace behavior and adhere to dress code at all times 
    •  Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident safety


    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Required

    • Current RN license 
    •  CPR certified required; 30 days will be given to complete a course and get certified
    •  Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English 
    •  Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner 
    •  Ability to work flexibly and positively with intermittent interruptions

    Preferred 

    • 2 years nurse management experience in long term care/skilled nursing


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations


    WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned, including some weekends, holidays and evening; on call 24 hours


    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
