    The City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin is searching for a part-time Telecommunications Clerk at the Oshkosh Police Department. This is a night shift position working Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 pm - 2:30 am.

    Telecommunications Clerks are responsible for managing all operations at the Oshkosh Police Department Customer Service Desk. The successful candidate must be able to perform their responsibilities without the benefit of immediate supervision, as well as work as a team with other employees. Duties may include:

    • Answering the telephone.
    • Providing information and assistance to the public.
    • Accepting requests for emergency and non-emergency services from the public and entering those requests into the Computer Aided Dispatch computer terminal.
    • Operating various computer programs and software including but not limited to the TIME System Terminal, the Law Records Management System and the Computer Aided Dispatch system.
    • Processing parking permit requests, parking citation review forms, and Open Records Request Forms.

    Qualified Candidates:

    • At least 18 years of age
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • At least one year of experience working with the public
    • Must have proficient and accurate typing skills
    • Ability to successfully complete the TIME System Certification Training requirements and maintain certification by the State.
